4th Annual Children of Kibera Music Festival!
The fourth annual Children of Kibera Music Festival, which took place at Kibera Academy on the 22nd and 23rd of June, was a joyous and momentous event! This year’s theme was ‘responsible leadership in elective positions’ where over twenty primary and secondary schools participated and among them were The Red Rose Students! They performed a Swahili choral verse “Mavazi” advising on appropriate dressing and they creatively displayed it by their choice of costumes.
On these particular days, the Red Rose students were enthusiastic and could not wait to perform. They got an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of hundreds of other participants which included pupils from different schools, professional artists, parents and various local NGO’s who were active supporters of the occasion.
Red Rose students emerged top in the choral verse category and were awarded; a trophy, book tokens and certificates both of performance and participation; definitely a huge triumph! We are all celebrating the jubilant performance as we enthusiastically wait for the next years Festival. Well done Red Rose!!!!!!
