Children of Kibera Foundation Board Members at Redrose.

Merrell Cherouny, Children of Kibera foundation's executive director and Mittie Rooney, Children of Kibera foundation's secretary along with Ken Okoth are spending two weeks, helping out at Red Rose School, visiting other schools and projects in Kibera that serve vulnerable children and getting a better insight into the scope of the challenges the children face and how best to help them in the future. The board members had a meeting with the guardians of the 46 children fully sponsored by the foundation and also treated the children and teachers to a field day that included a visit to the National Museum. The children were also given new shoes that had been donated by friends of Children of Kibera Foundation, this really brought a big smile to the children most of whom had worn out shoes a big ASANTE SANA! from me on their behalf.
